I am proud that we will have an African American President, and an African American first family. But most of all, I am proud of us as Americans. I never doubted that a black man could do the job of President. I doubted that Americans would let him. I am so glad to have been proven wrong.

I brought my kid to the polls, too. Incredibly emotional.
